A USB drive must have more than 1 GB of available space.
If your operating system is:
  • Windows: use a tool for creating bootable drives in the ISO mode or the DD mode, e.g. Rufus or Win32 Disk Imager. We recommend using the ISO mode.
  • Linux or macOS: use the default dd tool.
How to create a bootable USB using Rufus in the ISO image mode
  1. Open Rufus.
  2. Select the USB drive.
  3. Select MBR partition scheme for BIOS or UEFI-CSM.
  4. Select FAT32.
  5. Select the Kaspersky Rescue Disk image. 
  6. Click Start.

  1. Open Rufus.
  2. Select the USB drive.

  1. Open Win32 Disk Imager.
  2. Select the USB drive.
  3. Select the Kaspersky Rescue Disk image.

How to create a bootable CD/DVD
  • Use a CD/DVD burning tool. If you are using Windows, you can use Nero Burning ROM, ISO Recorder, DeepBurner, Roxio Creator. Select minimal speed for burning to minimize errors.
